July was long days, howling winds, and big weather fishing. The storms kept rolling through, bringing on big fishing salmon days.
We worked our way through the boat breaking down a few times, racing back to town for quick swap for parts and back out to the fishing grounds to not miss any moments of the harvest.
July out here in wild places with the net in the water, harvesting bright fish sunrise to sunset and all the big weather in between. It’s exciting and exhausting to work with the tide, to watch the way fish pulse in on the ebb and learn how they move in the shifting current. At home on the ocean, drifting in the swell, feeding people.
