Here in Cordova, our mountains have a thick blanket of snow and we're settling into a season of hibernation with good people around. We love the slower days having friends over, feasting on big platters of salmon gravlax or a pot of seafood chowder to warm up after a day in the snow. We've put together this list of things we're enjoying, gifts we love giving, and what's cooking in our kitchen this December.
Cheers, Nelly & Michael
This set features two handmade custom ceramic dishes, two exclusive recipes, Smoked Salmon and Fingerling Potatoes with Herbed Crème Fraîche and Burnt Leek Salt & Sautéed Beet Greens with Smoked Salmon and Ricotta, along with two jars of our smoked sockeye salmon to create the recipes at home. A gorgeous gift to celebrate the small moments at home together.
Our favorite olive oil around! Wonder Valley Olive Oil elevates any meal through its bright, herbaceous, peppery flavor. We always keep this on hand, out on the boat and here at home.
These enamel trays are so handy in the kitchen and outside cooking over a fire. We love to use them for making pickled fish and gravlax, or to for cooking veggies over a smoky fire. Always safe to use in the oven, stove, grill, or campfire and easy to clean in the dishwasher!
So handy to have around! The perfect tool for removing salmon bones before you create something delicious.
Treat your friends to a Tinned Fish feast! Featuring a selection of our smoked wild salmon and Alaska seaweed flakes, this gift box includes a handmade serving board. All of our favorite ocean flavors are ready to enjoy right from the box.
We love these incredible handmade knives crafted by Andy Gladish. Made with sustainably sourced materials, these knives are a treat to use and a great gift for the cook in your life.
So delicious! We ate this all summer long on the boat, drizzled on everything. A depth of flavor from the Alaskan kelp paired with heat from piri piri pepper will ignite your taste buds and leave your mouth warm.
Equally aspirational travelogue and practical guide to cooking at home, this book from Chef Renee Erickson offers 120 recipes and 60 cocktail recipes for simple meals that evoke the dreamiest places and cuisines. We love working with Renee Erickson and her beautiful restaurants in Seattle during the summer, shipping fresh fish straight off our boat to The Walrus & The Carpenter and Westward.
Bring a jar over to your friends house! Pickled fish is a favorite in our house and so simple to make.
